Are you a healthy woman between the ages of 35-39

Are you a healthy woman between the ages of 35-39 in a lesbian relationship?

If you are 35-39, please be prepared to receive news that more than half of eggs produces by you are already not healthy (=abnormal) due to egg aging process.

The Egg aging process starts after 30 and results in chromosome abnormality in more and more eggs, which makes them incapable of creating a healthy ongoing pregnancy and or a healthy child

In women

  • 20-25% eggs are already abnormal in the age of 30
  • 40-45% of eggs are abnormal in the age of 35
  • 70-75% of abnormal eggs in the age of 40

We believe that it is important that you do not wait any longer and proceed towards creating your own child, with your own eggs, before the majority of the eggs become abnormal after the age of 40 and almost all after the age of 42 [D. Wells, 2013]. Luckily there is a genetic method to help sort out the abnormal eggs and embryos and to create a pregnancy with a healthy child. Interested? Read more!

So if you have decided that you do not want to wait any longer and instead experience the wonders of motherhood for yourself we can help you achieve your dreams, as we believe that your own baby created with your own eggs is the best gift a woman may ever receive in life. We recommend that you proceed with your own eggs and donor sperm now, than in the future with donor eggs!

There are no questions that are too small for me. I am here to discuss them with you

Sperm donors

At AVA-Peter we are proud to be able to offer you a donor with a basic profile from our own sperm donor database. Within the basic profile you will receive the following information about a sperm donor: age, blood group, height, weight, eye and hair colour. If however you would prefer to use one of the main European Sperm banks, so that you can choose your own donor and gain in-depth information and profiles of the donor, we are more than happy to help you with the choice and sperm transportation to our clinic.

If you would like to find out more about different sperm donor options and how we can use this to meet your own personal needs please contact us for a free non obliging telephone consultation.

Which treatment options come in question for you if you are a healthy woman between the age of 35-39?

Treatment opportunities

1

If your fallopian tubes are open and ovarian reserve is good we recommend you to consider Insemination with donor sperm.

Artificial intra-uterine insemination (IUI) is a procedure for transferring sperm cells into the uterine cavity. Before being transferred into the uterus the sperm is thoroughly prepared: washed, centrifuged, the quickest and hence the most promising sperm group separated. Insemination although simple, is still a highly effective method of assisted reproductive techniques (ART)

If you would like to find out more information or advice about Insemination with donor sperm and how we can use this to meet your own personal needs please contact us for a free non obliging telephone consultation.

If your fallopian tubes are blocked, or 3-4 IUIs with donor sperm have not helped to achieve pregnancy, we recommend to consider IVF with your own eggs and donor sperm + genetic testing of your embryos before embryo transfer

The IVF (in vitro fertilization) is a procedure of fertilizing your eggs outside your body (in a test tube) and transferring your embryo inside your uterus in the right time and place. IVF allows not only to make sure that fertilization of an egg with a sperm has taken place and a developing embryo is placed at the right time, in the right place, but also provides access to embryos at pre-implantation stage! This provides you with a unique opportunity of genetic testing of your embryos so that only these 45-55% of your embryos, which are normal can be transferred in the uterus, not the wrong ones. Genetic screening of your embryos before embryo transfer in the uterus increases efficiency of your embryo transfer and reduces time to pregnancy!

If you would like to find out more about how your eggs are grown and collected as well as how an embryo can be genetically checked and then put back in the uterus, please read more here:

If you are considering choosing the gender of you future child, you need to consider IVF with your own eggs and donor sperm + PGS for family balancing

PGS for family balancing allows creating a pregnancy with a fetus of the desirable gender. PGS allows also testing of all the 23 chromosome pairs of your embryos so as

  • to reduce the risk of chromosome abnormalities in the fetus
  • to increase the chance to get pregnant
  • to increase the chance of giving birth to a healthy baby

If you would like to find out more about gender testing of your embryos or how to exclude chromosome abnormalities in your embryos and create a pregnancy with a healthy child  please read more here

If you would like to find out more information or advice about gender selection and genetic testing of your IVF embryos and how we can use this to meet your own personal needs please contact us for a free non obliging telephone consultation.

If you have certain medical condition such as fallopian tube dysfunction/previous removal, endometriosis, fibroids, reduced follicular reserve (low AMH) or even premature menopause, please do request a free of charge non-obliging phone consultation with our doctor so that we advise your options and help you choose the best strategy to meet your physical needs and personal values.

For example women with endometriosis to use rather IVF then IUI if they are already in the age of 35 and more.

Women in premature menopause have sadly no eggs left independent of their age. Luckily it is still possible to become a mother through IVF with donor eggs and donor sperm
