Welcome to the AVA-Peter clinic based in St. Petersburg. Since first opening our doors in 1996, we have grown to become the largest fertility centre in Russia, and now treat around 2,000 Russian and 200 non-Russian patients per year. We also have very high success rates: in 2008-2009, we achieved pregnancy rates of 60% using donor eggs and 72% using donor embryos (when transferring 2 embryos at the blastocyst stage).

For example, AVA-Peter has its own egg donor bank, enabling us to match you with healthy, attractive, young egg donors who are ready to start treatment as soon as you are. We also offer a choice of embryo donation options to suit your own wishes and budget. These range from using fresh embryos from ‘personal’ egg and sperm donors to using fresh or frozen embryos from ‘clinic’ donors whose embryos are used to treat several patients. Whichever treatment you need, we try to fit it around your own schedule to make the whole procedure as convenient as possible.

We are the only Russian clinic to have obtained ISO 9001 certification. This guarantees the quality of the procedures that we carry out to overcome male and female infertility. In order to retain this globally recognised certification, we undergo many thorough checks each year. AVA-Peter also provides data on an annual basis to the Russian National Register of Assisted Reproductive Techniques Results. You may therefore be confident that our standard of care is as high as possible and that our success rates have been independently verified.
The AVA network
AVA-Peter is part of the AVA international network of clinics. The other clinics in our network are AVA-Tampere and AVA-Turku in Finland (established in 1992 and 1997 respectively), AVA-Lisbon in Portugal (which opened in 200) and AVA-Riga in Latvia (our most recent addition in 2005). Our team
The clinic has a united and inspired team of obstetricians, gynaecologists, embryologists, geneticists, andrologists and bologists. Many AVA-Peter specialists have been trained or worked in leading clinics in England, Germany, Belgium and Finland. Being frequent participants of international exhibitions and conferences, they can quickly implement recent developments and new fertility techniques in AVA-Peter. Our clinic is also used by the department of female reproductive health of the Medical Academy of Postgraduate Studies (MAPS) as its training base. Doctors from all over the country who are training at MAPS come to familiarise themselves with modern approaches of treating infertility in AVA-Peter.
